Livestock farming
Herd care, grazing management, and animal health practices that support nutrition and income while stewarding land responsibly.
Livestock development on 23 hectares in the Maluku area of Kinshasa, led with local partners.
Located in Inkwe Village, Kimpoko Neighborhood, in the Maluku area of Kinshasa, our 23-hectare farm supports agricultural development as a pathway to food security, employment, and community empowerment. Through livestock farming, the project creates practical opportunities to strengthen livelihoods and serve the wider community.
Our farm is more than a production site. It is a space for opportunity, learning, and long-term community development. By strengthening local food systems and creating income-generating activities, the project helps families move toward greater stability and self-reliance.
Herd care, grazing management, and animal health practices that support nutrition and income while stewarding land responsibly.
Livestock and field production that supply fresh protein and diversify what neighbors can grow, process, and sell close to home.
On-farm roles and linked tasks that help households earn income and reinvest in education, health, and household needs.
Hands-on practice alongside daily operations so skills in animal care, safety, and teamwork last beyond a single season.
Stronger local food systems and partnerships so Inkwe and surrounding areas can better weather shocks together.
As the farm continues to grow, we aim to expand production, create training opportunities, and connect agriculture with education, entrepreneurship, and community support across our programs.
